The new MOB building will house nearly double the number of provider offices, a larger laboratory, and expanded services. The departments will include optical sales, pharmacy, physical therapy, ophthalmology, women's health, imaging and an MRI suite.
In a separate building next door, a new and much larger pharmacy is being built. The new pharmacy will be the biggest Kaiser has in Northern California. It will have state-of-the-art robotic machines to prepare and distribute medicine to medical staff on conveyor belts.
The new parking garage and expanded parking (as part of the final sitework) will provide space for the higher traffic of extra staff and visitors. Throughout construction, outpatient services in the five existing buildings have remained fully operational.
Kaiser is seeking LEED Gold certification for the new facility. This will make Roseville Riverside MOB Kaisers' first LEED Gold building in the greater Sacramento Area!
Scope of work was performed on an occupied hospital campus and includes rework of existing 14-acre campus and offsite work comprised of relocated underground utilities and a new street traffic light.
