Its age will require replacement of the entire existing exterior concrete curtain wall system of the eight-story tower with a new precast lightweight concrete curtain wall system. Updates will include installation of a new code compliant fire alarm and fire sprinkler system. Interior work will also consist of new kitchenettes on multiple floors, repainting of walls, and hazardous materials abatement.

With years of use the Humanities and Social Sciences Building is in need of some repair and updates. All work is required to match the look of the existing historic architecture.
