New Hall of Justice breaks ground in Sonoma County
A ceremony was held on Friday, July 9th to celebrate the official groundbreaking of the new Hall of Justice in Sonoma County.
The ceremony included remarks by Presiding Judge Brad DeMeo; Judge Gary Nadler; Senator Mike McGuire; Congressman Mike Thompson; Jagan Singh, Principal Manager, Judicial Council Facilities Services; and Michael Palladino, Design Partner, STUDIOpractice Architects.
The new 15-courtroom, six-story building in the City of Santa Rosa will replace deficient court facilities in the Sonoma County Hall of Justice and the attached Old Jail building and Main Adult Detention Facility. The new modern and secure courthouse for Sonoma County will create operational efficiencies and ongoing savings through the consolidation of court and mediation services.
Construction activities began this week, with anticipated completion in October 2023.
